DEStination wedding in ITALY
MONFORTE D’ALBA, Piedmont
We’d be lying if we said the experience of shooting this wedding didn’t make us stop for a minute and think about the possibility of packing up our belongings and moving to Italy. When English rose, Heather contacted us a year earlier outlining her plans to marry her Italian beau, Stef in a destination wedding in the Piedmont wine region of Northern Italy, it all sounded too good to be true. It wasn’t until we actually arrived in the quaint little town of Monforte d‘Alba and finally met these two gorgeous souls face to face that we realised just how special this experience was.
With their best mates and closest family members in tow, Heather & Stef enjoyed a week long celebration of their nupituals, complete with pizza parties and winery tours. When it came to the big day, they exchanged vows at the grandest of castles - the Castello di Grinzane Cavour, followed by the most incredible Italian feast - all courses paired with wines of course - at the charming Villa Beccaris. The styling and logistics were masterfully executed by vivacious Italian wedding planner and sommelier extraordinaire with the finest eye for detail, Martina Batzu of Wine Weddings and More.
